The last great Farnborough was in 2000. Lots of aircraft on display both static an in the air. Farnborough these days is sadly and largely a trade show confined to the ground. Contrast that to Fairford, which is a air display event and a weekend party for the military boys and girls.
How long before Farnborough can exist off an airfield? The SBAC Show at the NEC anyone?
ScanEagle was ermmm...less than impressive. Significant? Yes. Spectatorial? No, not when you consider how big this aeroplane is. A 2-mile long airfield and a radio-control model aeroplane does not work.
