The flight team are specialists in many different areas, but the arena of fine cuisine isn’t obviously one of them.
We all talk a good game, pretending to know our foie gras from our lobster tail, but Gordon Ramsey we certainly are not.
Imagine our bemusement then, when images of the interior of the SIA A380 first flight was accompanied by the menu of the event (half way down the link).

“It looks nice” seemed to be the most descriptive assessment of the menu, so I endeaved to find an expert to give their assessment of the A380 menu. I quickly called found Kerstin Kuhn, reporter on Caterer and Hotelkeeper to dissect and assess the menu for us:
Considering this is an onboard menu it’s very impressive. It includes expensive ingredients and most of the dishes could easily be found on the menus of some of London’s best restaurants.
Sounds good so far:
However, the question is how well are the dishes executed as even the finest ingredients only taste good if they’re well prepared. How much of the menu is prepared onboard and how much of it will be done beforehand? Freshness is key, particularly with seafood, and if the dishes are precooked and reheated they could lose a lot of their flavour and texture.
So there you have it, a positive assessment and a reason to enjoy your onboard food, rather than just eating bread and looking for your nearest takeaway on the other side.

Oh lord I can not believe SQ serve junk dog foods for all economy class pax in Mega Jumbo plane A380 SIN-SYD...... I will never recommend to anybody ! THai Airways , Qantas and Air New Zealand better ! These pax made waste alot $$$$ to bid for first flight.
