This year Flightglobal has seen our blogging output increase significantly, both in terms of number and in scope.

Since June, Flightglobal's community site AirSpace has been awash with controversy, exclusives and a sprinkling of light banter to match. Here are some of the highlights.

The most viewed story this year is the damaged Airbus A340-600 which was destined for delivery to Abu Dhabi’s Etihad.

Five people were injured in the ground test accident at the company’s Saint-Martin site in Toulouse when the aircraft broke free of its parking chocks during engine run-ups and rammed through a blast deflection wall.

The Christmas tree on display at the Tate Britain, Pimlico, London, stands at 30ft. What's interesting about this tree is not the tinsel and glistening baubles but the 123 handmade kit models of all the world's fighter aircraft currently in service.

A small bunch of people gathered at the Eurocontrol headquarters near Brussels Zaventem airport on 18 December to draw up a programme for persuading countries not to start inquiries into aviation accidents and incidents by initiating a criminal investigation. US fuell cell manufacturer Protonex has put a video on its website homepage showing the handheld launch of an Aerovironment Puma unmanned air vehicle that has been altered to use Protonex's Procore hydrogen fuelled power system

A certain news site had promised more photos of the Virgin America Victoria's Secret fashion show but in fact delivered images of aircraft interiors and airport lounge interiors.

We managed to get hold of this video of a couple of girls taking a ride in an aircraft and the pilot took them to zero g manoeuvre.
