Top discussions of 2007

Since June, Flightglobal's community site AirSpace has been awash with controversy, exclusives and a sprinkling of light banter to match. Here are some of the highlights.

The more obvious debates have been played out, from whether you prefer Boeing to Airbus to what's the ugliest aircraft ever built. Favourite airline liveries have been a contentious issue, as have talk about four-engined airliners.

In terms of exclusives, AirSpace brought us the remarkable video of the TAP A310 air show display, plus the SAS Dash-8 crash video and the most remarkable landing your likely to see.

The more frivolous conversations ranged from favourite air-related songs, to questioning whether Southwest airlines were correct for banning a passenger for their dress sense. Ryanair also popped in towards the end of the year with its calendar, and questions of whether it was effective PR or a genuine charity campaign.

The biggest success came from the front cover competition, an event started in September that resulted in winner's photo adorning the front cover of the festive edition of Flight International.
