If you’re Turkey's World Focus Airlines and you are going to rebrand your company to a name like ‘Ank Air’, you maybe should give the logo design a little more thought:

Can you think of anymore stupid rebranding exercises. Have your say on AirSpace

Listed below are links to blogs that reference this entry: Why Ank Air should really have thought harder about their logo .

A certain (now extinct) American computer company planned to promote their on-site maintenance support service to customers in Europe (including, of course, the UK) with the slogan "Wang cares."
This did not happen. Shame, I would totally have worn the T-shirt.
Intentional or not, great idea!!
re: Ankair (W ankair)
Maybe in Turkish it means soaring to your destination just in time.
..Can The Thai-s be far behind with Phuk-Awff Dreamliners?
I am pretty sure that it is not intentional as the word "wa*k**" is probably lost on most Turkish people... but considering that a small player in the market manages to create brand awareness (arguably, not in a very subtle manner) and even engages you in a conversation, I think it's a smart move.
Their brand manager should be proud!

... except that Ank Air don't seem to have anything to do with World Focus Airlines - there's certainly no mention of Ank Air on the URL you linked to.
There's a Hungarian company called Ank Air at www.ank-air.hu but the new logo doesn't appear on their web site either..
Re Pia Ambrose.
I'm very sure the word "wash" is lost on most Turkish people as well.
I think we all know it was unintentional??
This is earth I'm on isn't it?
