Video: Biplane hits cow while airborne…no we are not joking!

Biplane Clips Cow – Watch more Animal Videos

(Note: You see the cow about 55 seconds into the video)

For all you animal lovers out there, the above video is probably worth giving a miss. The uploader definitely saw the funny side:

A cow winds up on the receiving end of this plane. Guess the pilot had a major beef with her.

If anyone knows the aircraft that is being flown please let us know!

Looks like a de Havilland Tiger Moth.

The aircraft lost the engine immediately after takeoff and the pilot did exactly the right thing and landed in the nearest available open ground ahead of the aircraft (and did one heck of a job in missing a pole after the cow impact). This video could have ended much more tragically.

It doesn’t look like the pilots knew exactly what happened.

I think the pilots did know what happened. Just before the cow, the plane lifts off again and then comes back down. Looks as though they tried to jump the cow but couldn’t get high enough.

Doesn’t look like the cow saw them coming either.
First cow tipping, now cow clipping.

He had and engine failure and did a good job landing in an open grass field. It looks like he tried to avoid the cow but oh well. He’s no idiot – Roger3107, you’re a moron!

    Definitely not a B17

The starboard flap definitly hits the cow, it may or may not have been lethal to the cow, but it’s a definite hit.

Was the pilot trying to avoid an obstacle on the udder side?

    Who received the toughest grilling?

Did the pilot get a pat on the back from the farmer?

Was the engine failure caused by carburettor icing in the fresian conditions?

Can we be sure that the investigators won’t mince their words?
