For those already struggling with new year resolutions about shedding the Christmas bulge,spare a thought today for nine Air India hostesses, who have been sacked following Air India's inability to offer them ground duty jobs after already taking them off hostess duty for being too fat.
Air India state that the reasoning behind the action is the safety of the passengers:
A more serious reason could be the highly competitive nature of Indian air travel, where private airlines employ attractive young flight crew meaning that larger airlines such as Air India have had to be more strict in who they employ.
Next they will be rejecting people for having bad teeth and acne. Oh they are already doing that!!
