One Response to Colgan Air Dash 8 Q400 crashes in New York state

Colgan had a new plane of the best type for this operation. Dehavilland makes the best STOL planes in the world, for the last 55 years. This plane was new. A similar plane flew the same route and landed in Buffalo 25 minutes behind the doomed light.
Let’s let the NTSB process unfold, so that the facts may be established and air safety enhanced. Machines and crews are not infallible, but Colgan appears to have had the best planes and the best crews working this route. Let’s not throw stones. Let’s just find out the facts and the cause and implement the recommendations ASAP.
