Too bad...I would have loved to see a 787 in Hawaiian livery.

Sorry to see Hawaiian Airlines going Airbus instead of Boeing, if they ever need bailout they will be looking to our government and the US tax payers for help and us to fly on their foreign made planes. Stop exporting jobs oversea.
Be American buy American

Great news for Hawaiian and aviation of course.
@terry: please go back to school and learn something about how economics work. Even the 787 won´t be a 100% (not even 50%) American.
btw, I am afraid, that this not the only way you prefer to come to easy conclusions. maybe it is time to open your mind.

Terry is right - Short sighted selection by Hawaiian; Even shorter sighted comment by ‘Wayne’. As an ex-BAe & BA pilot may I state that Western aerospace indeed needs to ‘open its mind’, but unlike other shortsighted views, they need to appreciate what the offshore outsourcing is doing to our industries. The UK once had the largest aerospace, automotive and maritime industries, but shallow lack of investment of home grown products contributed to their demise. Narrow-minded liberal views will kill Western aerospace.
Terry

Rest assure that Hawaiian has had a thorough decission making process carefully evaluating what option would suit their needs better. The A350 was considered a better choice for Hawaiian - should they compromise that based on where the aircrafts are produced?

nothing like boeing, the airbus only get the order from any airlines by cuting the price to less than the realy cost and got the difrent from the europian goverments(germany and franc)with uot this they will not going to have all orders they got from all over the world and maybe only get 20 t0 30 percent of the market.
