Seems Like Just yesterday I was watching the roll out Live on T.V. They Got so much done even if we think we have taken 1 step forward and two steps back.

Just confused with the date specifically with the year. Would it be in 2008.

It was 'final assembly' with a whole bit of loose usage.

This release also says that the first plane would go together in seven weeks (ostensibly to fly not just roll out!!).
Then, it had the audacity to spout the plan of every 3 days!!!
At least, we can scrutinize all the statements since they're available on the web. Oh, what a web Boeing has woven!!

Hey Anonymous, Have some courage, state your name if you're going to bash the most successful airplane in history! I for one am awed by the stunning success. I am equally awed by the incredible ineptitude of the aviation industry to "buy into" the story laid out by Boeing after Airbus screwed things up so royally. It is the entire aviation industry that needs to step up and take note of our performance on both of these wonderful airplanes. In the end, our customers (the airlines facing $130 a barrel) are the one's suffering. We should carry the burden with both Airbus and Boeing for these two airplanes being late and do something about it. What is that? Tell both of them when they are wrong and fight for what's right. IN the end, we all will win.

"the most successful aircraft in history???!!! Lordy Lord; sounds as hyperbolic and hyperbiased as Flight International's ONLY analyst: Richard Aboulafia (Up with Boeing. Down with anyone who goes up! Airbus, Bombardier, Russians, Chinese, etc., etc,)
But PureCenter is damn right. That we have both (A&B)is good for all. Were it not for A, we would be flying Boeing derivatives well into XXIII century. Were it not for B, Airbus would do ditto, only with some chauvinism added.
Can't wait for the Russians, Chinese, Indians, Canadians, Brazilians and, maybe someday again, the British.
