Dreamliner 4 Flight Deck

Looks great!!! Only no screens... propably because the systems first need to installed in the aircraft.. And this flight deck has seats! I can see that many instruments are sealed. Good job, Jon!

Did you get to sit in one of the chairs?

Anyways, the problems lately have been with the aft sections, so while its great that the nose is good to go, its the aft sections that will be the problems.

Also, one last question, is that 100% represent 100% of where they planned to be on LN4 wrt traveled work or is that 100% of the parts that will ultimately be installed at this stage of the process?

Actually, the screens are there!

They are protected behind the black plates. All the major components are wrapped. The huds look like they're covered with pot holders. I didn't sit in the chairs because they are covered with plastic and (more importantly) I wanted to be invited back. Though I did poke my head into all those nooks and crannies of the flight deck.

The headrests made a great tripod for photos so you'll see those shortly. It's a beautiful set up. There are three seats in the flight deck, plus another folded one for an additional jumpseat.

The section is 100% of what Spirit is supposed to be shipping to Everett. There are a bunch of things that will happen to the aircraft after it's joined, but seriously, the condition of assembly was extraordinary. Boeing is incredibly excited to get their hands on this section next week.

They are expecting little, if any traveled work on this section.

Okay, it is only 14 months later (remember that Spirit shipped up prior to the May 2007 start of join). Yet, they were party to the 'potemkin' event of last year.

That Spirit is getting the details worked only confirms the fact that the site is full of ex-Boeing workers and management (only 3 years removed).

Vought was starting from a deeper scratch.

Whats the status of interior installation on the remaining test aircraft?

Compared to what Dreamliner 1 looked like, all I can say is.. wow.. what a HUGE amount of progress this particular sub-contractor has made.. if everyone else can get even half this far Boeing may end up having been too pessimistic with their new delivery schedule.

All this indicates is the massive amount they will have to rip-out when they have to redo all the bad wiring.

And what evidence do you have that there is bad wiring? Evidence please...and solid evidence if you do indeed have any.
