Movie Monday - October 27 - Inside Boeing's 747-400

The last few weeks, I've used Mondays to feature videos I've come across to ease your transition into the work week, kill your productivity and infuriate your boss. What can I say? I'm just doing my part for the global economy. I began to feel that including the video in the Week Ahead Open Thread wasn't doing it justice. So now, Movie Monday gets its own spot on FlightBlogger.

This weeks movie is from ITVV which is one of the best aviation video producers in the world. It's a plane nut's dream. They tell you what every dial and switch does on the flight deck of this Cathay Pacific 747-400. It's almost like I've learned something from these videos over the years.

Thanks for the videos. No need to kill my productivity, its dead already.

That's video was sweeeet! However, I didn't enjoy the mind games the capitan plays. One minute he's flying to Hong Kong, the next he's bumping along, while F.O. Larry flies the simulator. And what was with the Abba jazz during the end credits? Didn't suit the video at all.

For those that missed, it looks like a rare 747 SP was taking off one or two aircraft ahead of this one. When was this shot? Air Namibia isn't an operator anymore

Pretty sure I saw some Cathay L-1011's on the tarmac at Kai Tak, which were retired in October 1996 (according to Wikipedia). So this video is at least 12 years old?
