Pictured above is the new Delta Air Lines SkyTeam livery that has been painted on a 767-400 (N844MH). The fuselage is painted silver, not white. Individual aircraft from Aeromexico, Alitalia, Czech Airlines, Air France, China Southern, KLM, Aeroflot and Korean Air will all receive this custom paint to promote the alliance.

A very special thanks to the person who sent me the rendering.

At least that’s a little more creative then the One World (two thousand flushes) Dot or the Star Alliance Star. They could certainly use a more exciting font for the word mark such as “Monotype Corsiva”. The font they are using now is not very elegant and very draconian which is probably why the Star Alliance used it.

Sorry, but this is just a plain 1:1 copy of the Star Alliance livery!

    Very creative……..not!

    Jon

Ten days ago the Number One went out from the paint shop. Something must have happened since then.

There are several milestones that must take place before the first flight. Some of them are: static test, ground vibration test (plus flutter analysis) and gauntlet tests.

    What’s up with the 787?

I’m sure Delta spent a lot of time, tested this style thoroughly with focus groups and extensively involved the many levels of management and top design consultants in the creative process order to get it just right.

The spring-like logo beneath the tail reminds me of the old Siemens (Siemens-Halske) logo which is not out of synch with increasingly electrical aircraft…

Looks cool, can’t wait to see the livery in the 77W or the A330.

ANY SIGNIFICANCE TO THE USE OF Lower or HIGHER case LETTERING in Delta’s livery, . . .i;e DELTA or Delta? Perhaps an old/new scheme.
