Rob Coppinger is a recovering powerpoint user and engineer who mistakenly thought journalism was more glamorous than production engineering. He has been writing about aerospace technology for over seven years and there is still no hope of parole.

Hello Rob,
I came across your site and couldn't resist saying hello, given we share the same surname.
I enjoy the articles on your site.
Cheers

Hello Rob-
I have been reading and enjoying your blog for several months, thanks for the great work. I'm writing about your entry in May concerning the loiter skirt on the EDS. Have you seen the new video on NASA's website called "Constellation Mission, New Spacesuits"? It doesn't show much of the spacesuits, but it does show the EDS loiter skirt with flat-type solar panels (during staging)and later during EOR, with fully deployed round phoenix-type arrays, on the EDS! I think the video must have been made recently, because it shows the Ares CM with the bullet shaped boost cover. I think you should get to the bottom of this. Thanks.
