CTSE? A German acronym meaning Crew Transport System Europäische perhaps? Surely it should also be Européenne équipage système de transport spatial (ESTS)? I am waiting to talk to ESA and Astrium about what CTSE is exactly

CSTE availability in 2018 with what must be a man-rated Ariane 5? What is Astrium smoking? I guess it all depends on whether you think the entire European Union common agricultural policy budget is spent on human spaceflight or not

Is it just me, or looking at the slides above, following re-entry, is that capsule performing a hot helicopter landing, using rockets instead of parachutes?

MT Rob Coppinger

Today's Soyuz uses rockets at the last moment, with chutes during descent of course. The Energia CSTS concept image even has landing legs! I can't see how that will survive development. Extendable legs seems like a lot of extra mass.
