Virgin Galactic video bounty deadline

With the expected first flight of Virgin Galactic's WhiteKnightTwo mothership occuring in the next seven days Hyperbola is placing a deadline on the video bounty. That deadline will be 24h before Virgin Galactic makes public any video of WK2 moving under its own power

Talking to Flight on the 4 December Virgin Galactic president Will Whitehorn said that they were simply waiting for the right weather conditions and that the US Federal Aviation Administration had authorised the flight. These comments confirmed information provided to Flight by informed Virgin Galactic sources

However, as of close of business US east coast time on Friday 5 December, Flight still did not have confirmation from the FAA that test flight authorisation had been given

If you watch this video Whitehorn can be heard offering to give Flight footage of WK2 to claim the bounty, an offer that Hyperbola has accepted if they can deliver

In conversation later on the 4 December Whitehorn confirmed that video could be given exclusively and Flight is ready to pay Virgin Galactic the $100 bounty in return for 24h exclusivity

But if any of you out there can beat Whitehorn to it, we will pay you the $100 and post the video anonymously on our site, if you so wish

Thanks to all those of you who have sent photos and video of the WK2 sitting on the apron being worked on but as you know the winner has to provide video of the aircraft moving under its own power
