According to sources at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) this week saw Bourne trilogy producer Doug Liman tour KSC for his new big budget Moon mission movie
Has Hollywood discovered the Constellation programme too late? Can it drum up a greater public awareness and political momentum for NASA's plans before the new admininstration cans the whole thing?
Liman's Internet Movie Database (IMDB) webpage refers to an "Untitled Moon Project" that is to be released in 2010. Sources at KSC described the movie's scenario as "beyond credibility" so it is either a far future tale or just the usual disregard for the laws of physics shown by film makers
According to the IMDB the next theatrically released film about astronauts on the lunar surface is Sam "Galaxy Quest" Rockwell's thriller, Moon. Last year the kids film Fly me to the Moon was released. It was about houseflies stowing away on the Apollo 11 mission, and the picture in this blog post is from that movie if you hadn't guessed already

Hollywood won't save the program, but maybe England can. I'm bullish on a Christopher Nolan moon show.
