The New York Times website has an article about the challenge to NASA's Constellation programme from the change in administrations and a related series of kewl animations detailing the return to the Moon rockets and spacercaft. Well worth a look whatever you think of Constellation

the New York Times Interactive Graphic animations are the best of the web!

just look at this one about the Soyuz:

.

in my opinion, the latest NASA specs of the 5.5 segments SRB of the Ares-5 (published here last november http://www.flightglobal.com/blogs/hyperbola/2008/11/ares-v-srbs-could-change-radic.html ) CONFIRMS that (both) Ares-1 and Ares-5 CAN'T FLY since (both) 5 and 5.5 segments SRBs will add "MORE MASS THAN THRUST" to both rockets, as explained in the latest UPDATE of my "The Ares-1 can't fly" article ( http://www.ghostnasa.com/posts/012arescantfly.html ) also (as explained in the same article's update) I believe there will be a TOO HIGH INTERNAL PRESSURE inside (both) 5 and 5.5 segments new SRBs that could led them to LEAK (or explode) like happened with the Challenger!
