A Soyuz FG launch vehicle flying from Baikonur in Kazakhstan successsfully launched the Soyuz TMA-05M/ISS-31S manned mission at 0240 GMT on 15 July. The crew of three was Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko, US astronaut Sunita Williams, and Japanese astronaut Akihiko Hoshide. The Soyuz spacecraft is set to dock with the International Space Station (ISS) at 0452 GMT on 17 July.
