I am anticipating for another spectacular Paris Air Show from the Russian contigent this year. Plane collisions, crashes, bothed landings, etc. are on the muenu. Youtube should be busy.

Maybe the pilot had too vodka on the way to Paris. It seems that the Russians have a lot of crashes at Paris Tu144 and Yak 38 to name just two . Bet the tyres on SU needed to be changed after that landing judging by the tyre smoke

Looks and feels exactly like the A380 landing I experienced in Paris on April 24th (AF 347).
This was the hardest landing I have ever experienced. It was so hard that I did expect the plane to break apart.

Since I do not know what caused that no-flare landing, I refrain from publicly associating the pilots with the fine Vodka and Cognac that was served on that Air France plane.

I know how you feel.
An Air France Airbus A330-200, registration F-GZCB performing flight AF-468 from Paris Charles de Gaulle (France) to Caracas (Venezuela), was on approach to Caracas' runway 10 when the airplane encountered rain and gusts getting high on the approach profile at about 200 feet AGL. The crew countered the nose up tendency with substantial nose down inputs, the combination of crew input and gusts/windshear in the end caused a hard landing at 14:25L (18:55Z), the airplane rolled out safely and taxied to the apron.

The hard landing was reported, an inspection in absence of an automated hard landing report did not find anything out of the usual and the aircraft was released for flight.

The airplane departed for the return flight AF-471 on schedule (5 hours turn around time) but had to return when the gear could not be retracted, see Incident: Air France A332 at Caracas on Apr 13th 2011, unsafe gear after departure.

Following examination found cracks in the main landing gear and determined that at least the right hand main landing gear strut needs to be replaced before a ferry flight to Paris for further maintenance, a damaged electrical harness, several stringers and frames along the fuselage received deformations and need to be replaced as well.

The airline commented the occurrence is under full investigation.

The French BEA reported on May 3rd that they have not been informed about the event by Venezuelean Authorities.
In the interest of transparent prejudice, on Jan 4 2010 they wrecked my wife Teru's luggage,on AF-695 from KMIA-LFPG on Jan 4th 2010. Still without compensation, as they want a repair estimate for a write off that could not be removed. Bon chance avec Air France, voilla !...they make Ryanair look like a first class carrier. Remember that this shower of Bastards also is litigating United-Continental for the loss of their Concorde on July 25 2000. This is the same as American Airlines suing JAL for their wake turbulence. Still, the French corporate culture prevails. Needless to say, I'll go out of my way to avoid this culture.

If he had ANY ground spoilers he would have never bounced so high. All I see are some pathetic flight spoilers! They better do some more research before selling this plane.
