Podcast: Voyant talks big bandwidth

| | Comments (5) | TrackBacks (0) |

We talked about Voyant here the other day. Now IAG's Addison Schonland has recorded a podcast with the firm's chief marketing officer Steffen Koehler.

"Steffen, I came across your company's name on a posting from Mary Kirby's blog yesterday and I'm absolutely fascinated about your business," says Addison.

Well thanks, Addison!

This is definitely worth a listen (and not just because I got a plug).

Please, Voyant is a media technology company in search of both media and technology. Burning cash at $1M per month, thinking that they are actually in operation now, just sad. These guys are the 2009 version of Skyways.

Ah SkyWay Communications - you're bringing me back a few years.

As an architect, I review pictures and drafts on my laptop constantly when traveling from one job site to another across the country. As the files increase in size, I definitely see where the increased bandwidth would be something very useful. I don't see where the amount of money you are spending is relevant. It's the quality of the product that's at issue. Voyant, I fly Continental...I hope you will too!

You are making a sound point. This message that came 'from the horses mouth' reveals of how important for professional travelers to be connected, even if they fly only for an hour or two. For them time is $$.

One hour of their time worth a lot more than $10-$20. Most of the successful business people are an 'A' type personalities and for them to sit idly for any period of time is irritating to say the list, The slow connection is maddening.

I hope all frequent flayer passengers would send such messages to the headquarters of their airlines, so that innovative company like Voyant would get the partners with deep pockets to get the service up and running.
