VIDEO: WSJ takes a peak inside Bombardier’s CSeries mock-up

The in-flight entertainment (IFE) shown in this WSJ report is Thales’ AVANT system. Panasonic also had its next generation IFE system on display in the CSeries mock-up at #PAS11. The dimmable windows, meanwhile, are Vision Systems’ Noctis. I’ll have more on Bombardier’s IFE and connectivity plans for the CSeries later.

This jet will be a tremendous success. People were reluctant to order it because it is a totally new product segment from an aircraft manufacturer that people were used to see building small regional and executive jets, but not “big” small aircraft like 737-600/700 and A318/A319. I think the same would happen, ad will happen to Embraer. But after the C Series takes to the skies, it will be a beloved airplane. Bombardier is not saving much money to develop and deploy comfort facilities into the C Series cabin.
