VIDEO: Inside the brand new Bombardier CRJ1000

Bombardier’s CRJ programme chief Jean-Guy Blondin takes us inside the brand new 100-seat Bombardier CRJ1000 (deliveries only began last month). My video, shot this week at Bombardier’s Mirabel production facility, will show you Brit Air’s CRJ1000 cabin, the cockpit and even the new bigger toilet! And it includes lots of info about Bombardier’s in-flight connectivity […]

VIDEO: Runway Girl Takes Canadian Adventure to Bombardier

The last week and a half has been an exercise in self control for me. I’ve tried to pace out all the wonderful news I scored from Bombardier on my visit to the airframer’s Montreal and Toronto plants. But you didn’t think I’d leave those kind Canadian folks without taking some video did you? Check out […]

Exclusive: Inside Iraq’s new CRJ900 NextGen aircraft

Two more Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen regional jets are being readied for delivery to the Iraqi Government. The airframer last year delivered the first of 10 CRJ900 NextGen aircraft destined for the country, amidst a flurry of controversy. As reported last year by Flight’s David Kaminski-Morrow, Kuwait Airways threatened to impound new aircraft ordered for Iraq […]

Bombardier has 39 firm orders from four customers for the 100-seat aircraft. Stay tuned…

Missouri group gets graphic about Bombardier displeasure

Some Missourians are none too pleased with Bombardier after the Canadian airframer selected its Mirabel, Quebec plant for CSeries final assembly instead of building a new facility on Kansas City International Airport property. It’s hard not to have some sympathy for Missouri; the state seemingly moved heaven and earth to approve a $240 million tax […]

Countdown to CSeries final assembly decision (plus all that China talk)

A decision on where the CSeries will be assembled has not yet been made, but signs are increasingly pointing to Bombardier’s Mirabel, Quebec plant.     Bombardier has long said it sees its plant in Mirabel – a suburb of Montreal – as the “preferred site” for final assembly. And yesterday Montreal-area machinists at Bombardier […]

CSeries work could go to the USA

A few years ago Bombardier said it intended to build the CSeries wing, horizontal and vertical stabilisers, and nacelles at its structures and composites facilities in Belfast, Ireland; the cockpit in St Laurent, Quebec and conduct final assembly in Mirabel, Quebec. While these are still the “preferred sites”, they may not get the business! Negotiations […]
