What is it about defense contractors and weird promotional videos anyway? Here's Northrop Grumman Technical Services' latest promo, which the company uploaded on YouTube last week. Who are these guys, indeed.

That's embarrassingly bad. But given that their public relations staff sucks, its really not that surprising.

$0.65 out of every defense dollar? Sounds like a certain contractor is just begging for the heavy hand of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

Awesome video. They are everywhere, can they fix my cable? I rather enjoy videos like this. I have an old VCR tape that has company videos of major weapon systems. With great narration they discuss things like "the Hellfire's increased accuracy and range brings unparalleled lethality to the warfighter", it's great!!

It's common knowledge that .65 cents out of every defense dollar goes to defense contracting -- they're not saying they get .65 cents out of every defense dollar. And honestly, the only reason contractors are doing so well is because the government empowered them with contract after contract. But, at the same time, consider if they were to suddenly stop doing so well -- many people would lose their jobs and the economy would continue its downward spiral.

I'm sure they could fix your cable if you put out an RFP, but you might want to check out their music videos "I'm In" and Shoulder to Shoulder". Not bad for original work. http://www.youtube.com/user/northropgrummanmedia

Dave: what did you find so "embarrassingly bad" about the video? Production Technique? the Lighting? the acting? the Movie trailer motif? For a corporate video - what did you expect?
