Presenting the 737 AEW&C cutaway poster

Boeing AEW&C poster 9-12-9 (SEND).jpgFlightglobal artist Giuseppe “Joe” Picarella outdid himself, as always, with the cutaway poster for the 737 airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, which is published in this week’s Flight International magazine. It was my great privilege to write to the technical description of this truly one-of-a-kind platform. I hope you enjoy it.

Nice article! Is there anywhere to get a higher resolution picture? You can’t really read the labels.

The high-resolution image is available to magazine subscribers. I hear they even deliver it to your door.

Its fun to see both Northrop Grumman and Boeing on the cutaway!

Maybe it’s time to build the EPKC-7B (pronounced epic) Northrop Grumman and Boeing can work together to replace E-3, P-3, and KC-135 and C-9. Keep the cargo doors from the C-40, palletize the specific mission gear and voila! Four missions, one platform!!

    Just joking.

The resolution for online suscribers isn’t much better. I was hoping for a better image so that I could edit it and fix up some of the minor erors.
