The US Air Force dispatched the F-22 earlier this week to the Chilean air show FIDAE. I normally look for hidden agendas as the F-22 trots around the globe -- ie, is the Dubai appearance a show of force to Iran? Is the Paris no-show a political snub? Etc. But I think the Santiago show is a case where the official pretext overwhelms any unofficial subtext, if you will. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the show!
