SPOTTED: Iran’s stealth fighter mock-up … or mockery?

Iran commemorated Army Day on April 18 with a parade. Amidst the missile-carrying floats and goose-stepping soldiers, a very interesting scale model rolled past the reviewing stand.

YF-23 with air intakes on the back, anybody?

Anyway, speaking of strange planes, Stephen have you any idea what the crazy-looking plane is that’s carrying the X-37B in the new video on CNN??? I’ve never seen anything like that before. Is that a Burt Rutan creation?

    It’s a mockery… Goes well with their fake SA-20s.

The launch aircraft is Rutan’s White Knight.

I’d say the mid dorsal intake suggests one engine, but overall propotions seems too large for a single engine.

Stabs certainly very similar to the SR-71.

Sure, write them all off as incompetent boobs who could not possibly have any aerospace talent or skill or capability, but if you do, don’t be surprised when they do something that surprises you.

Why does the U.S. constantly dismiss its enemies as fools, madmen, or incomepetents? Accept the fact that sometimes your enemies have some real capabilities and then deal with those capabilities instead of always being surprised by them.

And THEN feel so superior to them. Won’t you feel better about defeating an enemy with some capabilities instead of always dismissing them as boobs and then keep on being surprised by them?
