This EADS video is XXX

Well, not really. But it is about a major milestone for the Eurocopter X3 -- the EADS helicopter manufacturer's answer to the Sikorsky X2 coaxial-compound rotor and the AgustaWestland/Bell Helicopter BA609 tiltrotor. The X3 demonstrator is a manufacturing mash-up of the Dauphin 365 airframe, the EC155 main rotor, the EC175 main gearbox and twin propellers. EADS announced this morning that the aircraft has surpassed the 180kt barrier, which is beyond the physics-dictated speed limit of most normal helicopters.
