Sapnish national carrier Iberia has applied to launch services to Sao Paulo from Barcelona. If approved, the route will start on June 17th or 18th. Iberia plans to operate the service thrice weekly with an Airbus A340-300. The competition comes from Singapore Airlines, which operates thrice weekly SIN-BCN-GRU service on board Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
