Oman Air to Continue Expansion in Summer

 Oman Air, the national carrier of Oman, is to continue its route network expansion in 2011 Summer season beginning on 27th March.



 The highlights so far include


From Muscat..
Abu Dhabi – Frequencies increased from thrice to four times daily flights
Bahrain – Frequencies increased from twice to thrice daily flights (2x E175, 1x 737-800)
Doha – Capacity increased to thrice daily flights
Dubai – Frequencies increased from five to six daily flights
Khartoum – New four weekly 737-800 flights effective 5 May
Moscow, DME – New four weekly 737-800 flights effective 9 May


 It will be adding a 71 seater Embraer 175 to its fleet soon. Its present fleet of 23 aircraft consist of three A330-200s, three A330-300s, two ATR42-500s, two Boeing 737-700s and 13 737-800s.


 Oman Air has been focusing on an expansion path different to that of its regional rivals by focusing on a quality, premium product.
