Tampa Gets Green-light to fly to Cuba

At present, the only US airports that are allowed to conduct flights to Cuba are Miami, New York JFK and Los Angeles, and a fourth just got added.
Tampa International Airport had been lobbying for access to Cuba since two years, with the cause championed by U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor . The airport received the approval from U.S. Customs and Border Protection to operate flights to Cuba on 4th March.
The airport was able to apply for flights to Cuba under a new Obama regulation, which allows "purposeful" travel to Cuba.

The charter operators Air MarBrisa, Island Travel & Tours and ABC Charter have already stated that they intend to provide service to Cuba.
