IATA has suspended the membership of the Zimbabwean national carrier Air Zimbabwe ( IATA: UM ) following unsettled debts.
This will stop Air Zimbabwe from using IATA's flight booking and finance services, a critical part in making bookings via travel agents. The amount of unpaid debts are $280,000.
The airline has stated that it has already engaged IATA to negotiate the settlement of debts.
