Emirates to Launch St. Petersburg from Winter 2011

 Emirates Airline will be launching daily flights to St. Petersburg from November 2011, making the former ‘Leningrad’ its second Russian destination.

 The airline will be initially flying Airbus A330-200 ( 3 class ) aircraft once a week and Airbus A340-300 ( 3 class ) six times a week initially. The operating equipment switches to Airbus A340-500 ( 3 class with Private Suites ) from 2nd Jan 2012.

 The competition for this route comes from Rossiya irlines thrice weekly A320 service between LED and DXB.

 Emirates already serves the Russian capital Moscow twice daily.
