Etihad today took its Chinese ambitions one step further by announcing the launch of its flights to Shanghai, hot on the heels of its announcement of Chengdu flights. 
The airline will launch the new route on 1st March, 2012, subject to government approval and will fly five times a week prior to increasing to daily from 16th April.
Shanghai will be Etihad's third Chinese destination and the seventieth overall.
