After years of battling with regulatory hurdles, AirAsia X will be launching flights to Sydney from April 2012, according to a report on the Malaysian website The Star. The new service will likely operate on board Airbus A330 aircraft.
The news was confirmed by Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia, who retweeted a number of tweets about the launch, on Twitter this morning.
