Chinese carriers apply for new international routes

The CAAC has announced the submission of applications by the following Chinese airlines, to launch new routes

- China Eastern Airlines, three times weekly Beijing – Nanjing – Sydney service on board A330-300 aircraft from October 2012. Route already served by Air China.
- Hainan Airlines, three times weekly Beijing – Sapporo service on board 737-800 equipment from September. Route already served by Air China.
- Hainan Airlines, four times weekly Beijing – Chongqing – Sydney service on board A330 equipment from July 2013. Air China and China Eastern will be already operating on the Beijing – Sydney sector by this time.
- Juneyao Airlines, daily Shanghai – Fukuoka service with A320 family equipment from December 2012. Route already served by Air China and China Eastern.
