Singapore Airlines' new Low Cost Carrier subsidiary, which recently confirmed its plans to use Boeing 777-200s, is now registered as New Aviation Pvt. Ltd. This however is simply the company's name and the actual brand name may vastly differ. Any idea what that new name could be? Share your guesses at the comments section.

Boeing recently added a new part to its newairplane.com website showcasing a Boeing 737-900ER in gigapixels.

787

Boeing claims that the image is the world's highest resolution image of a 737 aircraft. The 360 interactive view enables users to experience a 737-900ER in real size without going near to an airplane. The image has more than 70 features of the aircraft highlighted, and explained.

747-8

The interactive image could be found here with an article about the gigapixels shoot here.

Interestingly, in the same interactive feature's 737 Explained section, Boeing mentions a potential 737-800RE in a seat-mile cost comparison with the 737-800 Winglets aircraft and the future nearest competitor (A320neo). As per the chart provided, the 737-800RE will have a very high operating cost advantage compared to the A320neo, the latter which is also shown as being outperformed by the present 737-800.

ASA and ExpressJet becomes SureJet

| | Comments (0) | TrackBacks (0)
Atlantic Southeast Airlines and ExpressJet have renamed themselves as SureJet following their merger.

"So where did SureJet come from? Simply put, it came from our people; it's a symbol of the assurance, reliability and trustworthiness that our 10,000 aviation professionals told us they stand for and that our airline is committed to. The new identity also combines elements from each airline's existing brand, such as the red icon from the Atlantic Southeast brand and the forward moving text from the ExpressJet brand"

Says ASA, in its blog post. At the moment, the response for the new brand from some of its employees seem to be deeply disappointing. But let's see how it goes.. After all, they don't paint their name on their planes.
