Airbus' philatelic coup in China

Airbus stamp 5.JPGI'm not exactly clear how this happened, but Airbus appears to have pulled off quite a PR coup in China by getting its aircraft on the country' stamps.

As best I can tell from this Chinese blog, Beijing Capital International Airport had a major role in making this happen, and it's partly connected to an A380 flight - hence what I think are postcards carried on the flight. And at least some of them have Japanese postmarks on them. But if you know more about this project, or even Chinese aviation stamps in general, then leave a comment. Full set of pix below.

Oh, and if you'd like to get your aviation news in Chinese, then be sure to visit Flight's Chinese website which has updated stories daily.

Hard to tell from the pictures here, but if the Airbus on the Chinese stamps is an A320, this makes perfect sense given the A320 Final Assembly Line in Tianjin.
