Patrulla Aguila - once only.jpgJust because they can, the Boston Globe has published a really wonderful series of aviation photos of all kinds.

Hey, it's Friday, if you're in the UK then you've got a three-day weekend coming up for the last time this 'summer'.

Waste a few minutes looking at these and telling your email buddies about them. Then push off home and chill. Here's the link. Enjoy them all, including the one here by Eloy Alonso of Reuters.

Image #33 is obviously bogus--PhotoShopped. Nearly every beachgoer is looking at the camera, and not a one is looking up at a close-overhead machine that, were it actually there, would be infinitely more interesting than a photographer.

Makes you wonder about some of the others.

With respect Stephan I disagree - although I'm no photography expert. I think it's clearly with a pretty hefty telephoto lens, but that UAV is tiny and quiet - I'm not surprised nobody is looking at it. It's actually a sinister aspect of UAVs.

Stephan Wilkinson

Trust me. I'm a photographer. There was no "pretty hefty telephoto lens" involved in that shot.

The UAV is only tiny, hence the optical illusion. A bit like this
