My question of yesterday is answered - the US FAA has now issued its own AD on the A330-340 and it's basically adopting the content of the EASA AD requiring replacement of Thales pitot tubes.
I think the answer to my other question as to whether the new Aero-Instruments pitot tube can be installed, rather than the Goodrich product that the ADs specify, is that yes it can. I'm drawing that conclusion because it's described as a PMA (parts manufacturer approval) product and it has the same part number as the Goodrich pitot tube but with a suffix - 0851HL-A1.
