What on earth is going on with this blog?

OK, fair question. The post below - now known as the obese passenger post - is on its way to record traffic for me anyway, and meanwhile I've gone absent. I truly apologise - here's the situation.

Some of you will recall that I was due to leave Flight in sub-optimal circumstances at the end of October, and that duly happened. As things turned out I was rapidly offered work by Airbus among others, and the result is that, as a few of you may be aware, I'm now living in Seville/Sevilla, Spain until the end of January 2010 as part of the newly formed communications team for the A400M. (If you're remotely interested in what life there is like then feel free to have a chuckle at my Facebook page.)
But the real point is that I am frantically busy with the programme because of course first flight is pretty well imminent. As a result I've had just about no time for blogging. Obviously I'm pretty happy to be doing what I'm doing, partly because frankly it's a fantastic job, and partly because I'm only human and need the cash. But I'm deeply frustrated about the blog and desperately trying to work out a way to slot it into my life.

For those of you who've always believed I was pro-Airbus, I still flatly deny that - although perception is everything of course. Believe me, if Boeing had called first then that's where I'd now be. Which they didn't - first or second - I hasten to add. Although happily a couple of other people did which has also been interesting.

And I'd also add that I'm still looking for work, just in case there's any misunderstanding. ( daly.kieran@googlemail.com , if you take the hint.)

Glad to see that Airbus Military has at last got a real professional on board - I was wondering if there'd be a party on 12 Dec to celebrate a whole year without an entry on their web-site.
While there wasn't a lot going on while the software snag was sorted, at least they could have done a report or two on the Marshall's flight tests, as well as on other programmes previously under CASA, for example (or are those separate from AI-Mil?).
Enjoy your stay down in the orange groves - and all success for the future.

Hi John,

you're absolutely right about the site - shocking. Anyway, I hope you've seen that some progress has been made and we now have: http://www.airbusmilitary.com/ Which has a very nice movie of the flight on it.
