Bombardier - CRJ200 Series

The CRJ200 series, equipped with improved CF34-3B1 turbofans providing increased thrust and a 2.8% improvement in specific fuel consumption was launched on 18 September 1995 with an order from Tyrolean Airways, who took delivery of their first aircraft on 15 January 1996. The Series 200 supplanted the CRJ100 in production and is also available in ER and LR versions, which essentially mirror their 100 series counterparts, apart from the powerplant, the introduction of an improved flight management system and the installation of GPS equipment. The CRJ200B is optimised for hot and high performance and features more powerful CF34-3B1 turbofans. Corporate-configured versions of the CRJ were also offered, including the 18-30 passenger Corporate JetLiner and the more luxurious 15-19 passenger, longer range, Special Edition (SE). Production of the CRJ200 was closed in October 2005 and the Dorval production line switched over from April 2006, to the Challenger 850 corporate jet.
