Raytheon - Cobra

A developmental monoplane configuration aircraft with single tractor propeller. Work on the type commenced in 2005 with the objective of providing a more capable platform for sensor testing. The type secured initial US Federal Aviation Administration experimental certification in November 2006, the third awarded to a US developed UAV type, with five such certificates held by the type as at March 2007. Development continuing with the most recent declared test campaign occurring in North Dakota in June 2007.
