Summer Intern 2010 - Airplane Interiors and Cargo in Commercial Engineering. Researches, develops, analyzes, designs, and tests company products using engineering and scientific principles. Applies knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools to define and characterize behavior of products, services, and processes. Integrates technical, cost, value, and safety considerations into the product definition to comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements; documents results in drawings, data sets, reports, specifications, and supporting data. Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives. Develops solutions to technical problems of limited scope and impact; applies basic engineering and scientific principles. Supports project leader as a team member and gains exposure to working with customers, teaming partner, subcontractors and suppliers. Activities are performed in accordance with organization and program standards and procedures. Works according to established guidelines; exercises limited latitude in determining technical solutions; requires guidance and instruction from more experienced engineers. Applies complex, technical professional skills and the related concepts, practices, and methods.
