The ARES (NASA) program is seeking a high-level performer for our Huntsville, Alabama site to lead and manage critical/strategic supplier management activities with a significant impact on program success. The position requires advanced supplier management knowledge and the ideal candidate should be recognized as an industry or company expert/SME in supplier management competencies/processes. Also required is extensive experience in administering a major subcontract under a government prime contract. Experience and contract amounts should be documented on the candidates resume. The selected candidate will be expected to develop solutions to complex supplier management issues that require a high degree of creativity and innovation, while ensuring solutions are consistent with organization objectives. The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a leadership role on a multifunctional Integrated Product Team (IPT) in the management of complex structures, tooling and machined parts to assure performance is within the cost, schedule and technical requirements of the subcontract and the ARES program. The selected candidate will be capable and experienced in administering all types of subcontracts with extensive working knowledge and experience in the area of cost plus type subcontracts, Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS) and Award Fee management. Position requires expertise in managing complex source selections involving large numbers of bidders, high-dollar negotiations and the issuance and subsequent management of high dollar complex subcontracts. The desired candidates resume should reflect experience with software similar to MS Project, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Moderate US travel will be required during the course of the program.

Typical Education/Experience
