Our client is now recruiting for a Composites Production Engineer, to be based in Hertfordshire.

The responsibilities of the job are diverse, and include contributing to new product design in respect to material, process and tooling definition, detailed tool design, manufacturing process proving and compilation of product manufacturing method documentation, and instruction of technicians in manufacturing new products.

Also, the Engineer will be required to assist their assigned production module with the resolution of day-to-day manufacturing problems and monitor and correct recurring non-conformances.

The skills and experience necessary to fulfil this role are:

In-depth knowledge of a range of composite materials.
In-depth knowledge of a range of composite manufacturing processes
In-depth knowledge of Design for Manufacture and Lean principles
CAD and CNC programming knowledge preferred
Good team-working ethos
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

The successful candidate will also possess a first degree, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline and have experience working in the composites industry.
