Provides field operation and/or support of CV-22 aircraft at Hurlburt Field, Florida; Kirtland AFB, NM; Cannon AFB, NM; and other worldwide locations. Serves as a avionics technician performing intermediate- and depot- maintenance on special operations CV-22s. Uses technical manual troubleshooting procedures to isolate equipment problems to specific malfunctions. Documents activities in Air Force's Integrated Maintenance Data System. Provides interpretation of technical documents to other Osprey technicians. Provides informal on-the-job training to customers. Develops and provides solutions to a wide variety of technically complex problems. Periodically assigned to modification efforts to update aircraft systems. Augments Osprey mechanics and composite repair co-workers on as-needed basis. Works under general direction.

Aircraft Performance Data
Complete knowledge of aerodynamic and propulsion principles and their application in developing aircraft performance data. Complete knowledge of associated regulatory requirements and related impact on aircraft performance data. Utilize this knowledge to resolve customer issues and develop products.

Drawings/Data Sys and Models
Complete knowledge of and ability to use and interpret drawings, data systems and models associated with supported systems/platforms.

General/Precision Test & Meas
Complete knowledge and proficiency in the use of general and precision measuring devices (e.g., Optical Time Domain Reflectometers (OTDR), multimeters, oscilloscopes, noise/bus/logic/spectrum analyzers, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and associated calibration requirements.

Maintenance Programs
Complete knowledge and understanding of the customer's preventive and corrective maintenance programs, concepts, and implementation.

Product Support Technical Data
Complete knowledge of product support technical data requirements and formats (e.g., review and interpret Engineering data/drawings, Maintenance Manuals, cataloging, Structural Repair Manuals, Time Compliance Technical Order [TCTO], manufacturing plans) to support product deliverables.

Typical Education/Experience

Bachelor's and proven related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able and willing to deploy on short notice for extended periods. Must pass company-provided deployment physical, selected candidate will need to satisfactorily meet Boeing Medical and U.S. Military requirements. Must be able to obtain secret security clearance. PREFERRED: CV-22 avionics experience is highly desired.
