Summary:

As a direct report to the Sr. Director, Maintenance Services, the Director, Maintenance Services, Technical Services acts as a key business leader in the MS organization with a focus on ensuring the global Maintenance Service organization is provided with adequate technical direction and resources. Key accountabilities include maintaining a 24/7 call center support group, developing and leading a technical program management group to ensure excellent technical performance of service programs, preparation and supply of technical publications to all service locations, and management of Quality Assurance issues within the Maintenance Service organization.

Duties:

* Oversees the management of the Maintenance Control Center responsible for providing technical support to all COMPANY customers and Maintenance Service operational personnel.
* Develops and Manages a Technical Program Management team responsible for the technical performance of service programs, retrofit programs and any other MS related technical activity.
* Maintains and manages technical program plans that identify work scope, schedules, milestones, and program team members to ensure contracted programs are planned and executed while exceeding customer expectations.
* Ensures that communications between COMPANY internal personnel and external customer are maintained within Company corporate standards.
* Develops performance requirements among team to consistently work toward enhancing the company's reputation among customers and suppliers.
* Ensures on-time delivery of adequate equipment and training publications to MS operational locations.
* Ensures the MS operational sites have the appropriate resources to perform at the standards and practices specified in the company MOE.

Qualifications Required:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, airline industry experience is required.
* Minimum of 8 years with managing a technical support in a major Airline Maintenance Services organization.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to present to executive decision makers.
* Technical knowledge of In-Flight Entertainment systems and related components.
* Ability to organize and implement department objectives.
* Ability to plan, assign, train, and direct employees.
* Ability to interview, hire, and appraise employees.
* Highly developed team building skills.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
