Develops strategies and directs the integration of Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs and management systems to support multiple sites, business unit programs or the enterprise. Leads independent reviews of EHS programs, processes and practices to identify improvement opportunities. Leads interface with regulatory agencies. Conducts information exchanges to improve EHS processes. Evaluates new technologies and processes to develop strategies and tactics for reducing workplace hazards and environmental impacts. Develops education and training materials to support regulatory and business requirements. Reviews and approves complex regulatory reports, permit applications, proposals and contracts and EHS risk analyses. Direct and provide oversight of vendor, contractor and supplier activities for EHS compliance for site processes and program goals. Leads program reviews, investigates incidents and provides corrective action to prevent recurrence of incidents.

Other Job related information
Position will reside at a major IDS location with a GS&S presence. Position requires support of bid & proposal activities, mergers & acquisitions, and site environmental assessments. Experience with analysis of injury data/metrics, managing initiatives and implementing common processes/tools are key. Job entails support, assistance and mentoring of site EHS professionals, and may include both US based and international locations.
