Responsibilities include directing and conducting in-house and out-of-house compliance testing, leading efforts to solve mechanical, EMI and safety problems as a result of the compliance testing, participating in planning meetings, developing schedules and budgets, generating regulatory and safety strategies and serving as liaison with testing and qualification agencies. Also, as a member of the product development team, review of both new and old designs to ensure all agency requirements are met.

ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Other Job related information
Highly desired candidate would have experience in electronic design for compliance (EMC, safety, and environmental), preferably in military projects with intimate knowledge of compliance specifications and test procedures for MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1275, DO-160, Defense Standards, FCC, CE, LVD, etc. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
